The Minister of Maori Development visits NelsonTasman EOC
The Minister of Maori Development and Local Government and Associate Minister for Housing Hon. Nanaia Mahuta arrived in Nelson today for a visit to the EOC to acknowledge and endorse the first response teams inclusive of the valuable Iwi Liaison and many community organisations, in recognition of the continuing advocacy and support. It has been highlighted that 8 Iwi have come together as one having positive effects rippling across the whole community.
Media stand-up notification
All media are advised that there will be a Pigeon Valley fire update at 8.30am, Wednesday 27 February. This will be hosted at the Tasman District Council offices, 189 Queen Street, Richmond.
Please note that the Tasman Nelson CDEM Group will be making an announcement relating to the current state of emergency. There will also be representatives from emergency services and support agencies on hand to provide updates where necessary.
